Christmas Bells

by  Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas Day

Their old, familiar carols play,

President’s Message: Hands Free Cellphones

July 1, 2008 marks the effective date for the new California laws regarding the use of cellphones in automobiles.   As of that date, it is illegal for the driver to use a handheld wireless telephone while operating a motor vehicle.   Motorists over 18 may use a “hands-free device”.   Motorists under 18 may not use a “hands-free device".

This applies to out of state drivers as well as California residents.   It does not apply to passengers.   Drivers may use a bluetooth enabled earpiece, but may not have both ears covered.   If you don’t already have a hands free cellphone for your car, now is the time to go buy one.
