President’s Message: Two DTRs What’s a DTR? This is our shorthand for a Desk Top Review. It is appropriate for an analysis of auto accidents where speeds were low and the vehicles have been repaired, so there is nothing left to inspect. Basically, the expert looks at whatever photographs and reports are available and then expresses an opinion as to likelihood of injuries and whether the stories match up (or not). The two March cases demonstrate a couple of the DTR uses. |
