GEI Desktop Icon Instructions-for Internet Explorer Go to the Internet address given to you by your local sales representative.  You should be looking at your company's  data entry sheet web page.  At the top of your screen, your command menu bar should have  an option called "favorites".  When you click on it, the first item in the drop down box is "add to favorites".  Click there and another box will open, click ok.  This will add the shortcut at the bottom of your favorites list.  You can toggle your favorites list to display and to not display by alternately clicking on the favorites button, which usually is next to the gold star. You may also put the icon on your desktop.  That way when you click on the red G from your desktop, Internet Explorer will automatically open to your assignment page.  To do this, find the red G on your favorites list, right click on the red G, click on copy, then minimize all screens until you are looking at your desktop screen.  Put the cursor on an open space and right click again, and click on paste.  The red G will now show on your desktop as well.  Left click on the icon and hold down the button to drag it to where you want it to be among your other desktop icons.   When you release the button it will now show where you want it to be.  Click or double click on the red G to launch the application.
