Hacking A Jeep Cherokee

Jul 23, 2015 by

Wired magazine ran an article about a couple security researchers who overrode the driver controls of a Jeep Cherokee cruising at 70 mph from 10 miles away, using a laptop and hacker software they wrote, plus a phone connected to the Sprint network.  The software gave them control through the Jeep’s entertainment system of dashboard functions, brakes, and steering.   After the Jeep’s brakes were remotely disabled, the Jeep ended the adventure in a roadside ditch.   Click here for the link.
