Motocross 101

Many motocross riders come from different career interests.  Lining up at the start line are construction workers, orthopedic surgeons, business owners, students, auto mechanics, etc.  The one interest in common is motocross racing.

Racing is broken down into many factors.  The first is to get a good start.  By being up front, battling for position becomes easier since most riders are mid-pack.  Next comes the cornering.  By entering at a fast but safe speed, it’s best to be physically-balanced while breaking 60:40 front brake to rear while leaning to the side as much as possible.  Be aggressive and safe, but have fun.  Enjoy the finish!

How you place depends on basic skills, good equipment, and being physically fit.
