Mr. Opfer has more than twenty years experience and is currently an Associate Professor of Construction Management, University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Building Theory, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Washington State University, Pullman, Washington.   He also holds an M.S. in Management from Purdue University and a P.D. in Engineering (a masters level program) from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.   He has served as a project engineer for Inland Steel in East Chicago, Indiana and a construction consultant for KDM Associates in Chicago, Illinois.   He is a Certified Professional Constructor in the American Institute of Constructors, and a Certified Project Manager in the Project Management Institute, and a Licensed General Contractor in Nevada.   He is an expert in construction management issues, project cost analysis, structural failure issues, construction equipment, construction materials, construction claims, construction codes, and related safety matters.
